SASSA Will Take Solutions to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it's alarmed regarding the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no click here entirely functional office focused on service the area daily. The provider level developed for intervention experiences a superior influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it hard for your Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to enable the servicing of all shoppers and boost usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
